FINAL MOUNTING

Where a sculpture will end up is something to be considered from the beginning.  The answer to this question will determine how the pedestal will look.  For the Dunton statue, Volz played with several ideas until he came up with one that fit the look and time period the founder lived. Here cement was poured to support the massive weight of the piece. And limestone was carved for the nameplate.
